We know that getting the first few participants to engage in a tool is one of the biggest challenges in any consultation. That is true for all open tools such as Forums and Ideas where participant don't necessarily feel confident being the first to have their say. However, it can also be a challenge with surveys. To increase the likelihood of participants engaging in a survey, we are now giving you the option to display the amount of responses a survey has received. We believe that showing a survey is getting traction will encourage other participants to get engaged too.
How does it work?
As of today, when you log into your eHQ and visit any survey setting page, you will see a new option called "Show count of submissions".
Enable this and any survey that is not pinned will have a counter of responses showing, just like below.
By default this will be turned off. You don't have to worry about inadvertently exposing this to your community.
However, you can turn this off or on at any point in time, meaning that if you feel more comfortable showing this number as the first few responses have been received you can turn this on later. Or vice versa, if you feel this is a good prompt for the first few participants to get engaged but you don't need it later on, you can turn it on for the survey launch and turn this back off later when the first lot of submission has been received.
There you go, the Survey Counter, another eHQ product initiative to help you activate your community.
