Starting Monday, 26 February, we are preventing header links from automatically appearing in an EHQ Footer.
Did you ever notice that links you added into a header are automatically replicated in the footer? This was a feature built many years ago, at a time when EHQ did not allow you to add your own footer links. Since this feature is now redundant and does not work with header links that are part of dropdowns, we will remove it starting next week.
Can I still add links to the footer manually?
Yes, you can add footer links manually by going into your Site Settings. See below. When adding links, keep in mind that, as a best practice, footer links should be reserved for the more technical aspect of your site. For example the default links that are already added, such as 'Accessibility' and 'Privacy Policy'.
Please note that if your site has a custom built footer, as part of a deep rebrand, you might not be able to add any additional footer links.
