Our first release of the new year is a fully automated feature. This is one you can 'set and forget'. You can explore it by going to your site and manually entering /projects after the site URL. E.g. demonstration.engagementhq.com/projects to see what it is.
What is it exactly?
The "/projects" page is a single page showcasing all your published and archived projects in one list. It shows its status, an image and the project title. Protected projects are not shown. It allows the user to search for project or filter by their status.
Four projects display on the same row and are ordered by date published. The newest project will show at first place in the top left corner.
Where do the images come from?
The images are sourced in the below order and displayed at a size of 200 by 170 pixels. If the first option is not available, the second is chosen, if that is not available the third or fourth will be picked.
- The project image. You can change project image as described here.
- Any image in the project description
- The project banner
- The site banner
We recommend you use square images in your projects to be displayed nicely on this page.
Where do I find this page?
As hinted at above, the '/projects' page is available on all sites if you just add /projects to your site's URL. For example demonstration.engagmenthq.com/projects.
This means the page does not need to be enabled in any settings, but you can choose to use it by simply linking through to the page via a header link or any other link. If you don't want to use it, simply ignore it.
This page can NOT be made your homepage.
Can I customise the page?
No, the page comes as it is. You can change the images by uploading new images into your projects. If you have lots of projects on your site, you will probably realise that this is necessary as some projects' images are not the dimension yet. However, since this page is automated, you cannot make any changes to the actual page.
