The EHQ tool allows you to have a fine grain control on the emails and messages displayed on the site.
To customize email notifications
The following steps describe how to customize the email notifications that are sent as part of the site registration process. There are a series of variable links that must be included as part of these notifications.
NOTE: See article Site: Setting up notification emails for required fields and example email texts.
- Select the Site link and from the drop-down menu, Text and Emails. This displays the Site Text page.
- In the Emails tab, under Registration section, customize the emails sent as a part of the site registration process. You can do this by customizing Activation Email, Forgot password email and Complete registration instructions / Imported users registration instructions.
- In the Moderation section, customize emails sent as part of the site moderation process. You can do this by customizing Changed screen name email, Removed by moderator email and Topic moderation email.
- Click the Update button. The following message ‘Email settings updated’ is displayed at the top of the Site Text page.
- Click on the On reply button to customize the comment reply email settings.
The following screen is displayed. - Enter the subject of the email in Email subject and email content in Email text. Click the Update button. The following message ‘Email settings updated’ is displayed at the top of the Site Text page.
- Click on the On edit reply button to customize the comment reply email settings.
The following screen is displayed. - Enter the subject of the email in Email subject and email content in Email text. Click the Update button. The following message ‘Email settings updated’ is displayed at the top of the Site Text page.
You have successfully customized the email notifications.
To customize messages
The following steps describe how to customize messages that are displayed at various stages of the site registration process.
NOTE: See article Site: Registration messages for more details on where these messages appear.
- Select the Site link and from the drop-down menu, Text and Emails. This displays the Site Text page.
- Click on the Messages tab. The following screen is displayed.
- Enter the text to be displayed on the privacy policy page by entering it in the Privacy Policy Page section.
- Enter the registration message in the Registration Page section and the welcome message in the Welcome Page section.
- Click the Update button. The following message ‘Message settings updated’ is displayed at the top of the Site Text page.
When you register as a participant and confirm the registration through your email, you are directed to the site where you can view the message that you entered in the Registration Page, above the registration form. - Enter the details in the Login, Email, Password and Password confirmation fields, respectively.
- Select your Suburb by clicking on the drop-down arrow.
- Read the terms of use and privacy policies for using Engagement HQ, and select the I agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for using Engagement HQ checkbox.
- Click the Submit button. You will receive an email that directs you back to the welcome page of the site.
- Click on the link provided in your email to view the participant’s welcome page.
You have successfully customized and viewed messages that are displayed at various stages of the site registration process.
